It’s the 1st day of November 2020 and we’ve been in quarantine for almost 8 months now. I missed going out of Metro Manila even if it’s nearby provinces like Laguna.
I was reviewing some of the photos of my stolen Vivo Y91 when I came across these two photos of street food in Liliaw, Laguna – the shoe capital of the province. This one was taken near by church. It’s empanada, lumpia, karioka, and one more kakanin.
Whenever I travel, I always try to taste the local food. It’s part of their heritage and culture. Most can be found near the church and public market, where the people are.
I hope I could travel again soon. I would try to take more pictures of the local food moving forward. Let’s welcome 2021 with optimism that the pandemic will end sooner.
Karioka and what’s this other one? Looks like small donuts to me.
It’s empanada and lumpia. What’s the other two in this bilao?
What do they call this street food?
I love empanada!
This is not karioka or buchi. What is this?
