Samurai Talabahan, Iloilo City

After the MassKara 2013 Festival, and before we returned to Manila, we toured Iloilo City and its nearby towns. We took pictures of churches, government buildings and other heritage houses.

We also passed by and had lunch at the famous Samurai Talabahan in Iloilo City. It’s located along B.S. Aquino Diversion Road near the Iloilo Esplanade. We ordered talaba (Oysters), Crispy Calamares (Squid) and Sizzling Chicken. The food is good and the place is cozy for lunch. The staff are friendly as well.

The setting of the restaurant is cozy and in Filipino style with bamboo accents and furniture.

Samurai Talabahan is located along B.S. Aquino Diversion Road, Mandurriao, Iloilo City. It’s near the Iloilo Esplanade.

Batchoy at Deco’s

We were at Bacolod City and Iloilo City a few weeks ago, during the MassKara 2013 Festival. It’s sad to know that they were recently battered by Typhoon Yolanda. I hope everyone would get back on their feet the soonest time possible.

I hope the Philippine Government and the International Community would do everything to help those who are affected. My prayers for everyone who’s affected.

Speaking of Iloilo and the Visayas, here’s a picture of the popular Batchoy from Deco’s. I should be an adopted son of Bacolod and Iloilo for liking the place and the food.

We had a delicious Batchoy at Deco’s during the MassKara Festival 2013 and it taste better than the ones available here in Metro Manila. Hope I could get back to Iloilo and Bacolod the soonest time possible.

Calea, Bacolod City

Calea is a famous bakeshop, cakes and pastries store in Bacolod City. It’s located along Lacson Avenue, which is like the EDSA of Bacolod City.

It was highly recommended by a resident of Bacolod which we met in Iloilo City on our way to Bacolod City. During the MassKara 2013 Festival, Calea was filled with patrons to the roof. Standing ovation and long queue at the counter.

After tasking some of their cakes, including the Chocolate Mud Pie, I understand now why it’s a highly recommended place in Bacolod City. Their cakes are the most delicious I’ve ever tasted.

Bacolod Chicken Inasal at Chicken House

So finally, I was able to eat a Bacolod Chicken Inasal at one of the numerous restaurants in Bacolod City, particularly the Chicken House along Lacson Street.

Bacolod is literally filled with tons of Chicken Inasal during the MassKara 2013 Festival. I can only compare the Chicken Inasal at Chicken House with that of the Chicken Inasal of Mang Inasal here in Metro Manila and I can definitely say that the first is more delicious.

The Organic Restaurant, Bacolod City

During our recent stay at Bacolod City for the recent MassKara 2013 Festival, most of the time we were eating at The Organic Restaurant. It’s a vegetarian restaurant located at the back of the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol.

Unang Kagat (First Post)

I have so many pictures of food in my computer and I wanted to share you guys these pictures. I don’t have Instagram yet so I guess this is the best way to share you guys my passion for taking pictures of food.

So sit back, relax and let your hunger sets in upon seeing these food. Sa sobrang sarap ng mga pagkaing Pinoy, mapapasigaw ka talaga ng “Isa Pang Rice”. [Due to the delicious nature of Filipino food, you’ll definitely ask for one more serving of rice.]

My fellow bikers from the Sarap Buhay Bikers (a.k.a. United Bikers of Pinagbuhatan) introduced me to Jobet’s Grill Restobar. It’s located along the Marikina Riverbanks and is a favorite stop-over for bikers like us.
